I don't know what state you live in but you need to go to social security to replace ss card. It will take about 2-4 weeks to get to you but you can get a statement from them that it is on the way. For your birth certificate - that's the tough one. where I live you have to go to the building of public health. The birth certificates cost 15 bucks and they will give it to you within a few minutes. You might need to check in your public phone book to determine where you need to go. Some places it's City Hall and in others the hospital you were born in. Make sure you have your ID/ Drivers Lisence because they will as k for proof of identity.

Good Luck!

If you have another form of ID it will be simple. Whatever state you were born in write to vital statistics with your information name at birth mother's maiden name Father's name state city & county you were born in date of birth. If you have been married you will need to send it a photosttic copy of your marriage certificate & driver's liscence. While you are waiting for your birth certificate you can go to the nearest social security office with marriage certificate & driver's liscence in hand. If you aren't married look up other forms of acceptable ID but you will need 2 forms of Identification. And with the birth certificate each state charges for that so you will want to find that out too. Also, with the birth certificate the Bureau of Vital Statistics is located in the state capital of the state you were born in.

You need to report that immediately. Until you get them replaced, you are not you. And if anyone has those rather important pieces of documentation, they are you. They have your credit history, they have your mortgage (if applicable) and they have your life. Report it and have the numbers listed as missing and any activity reported.

Think about it, someone could be crossing the border using your name. With security at the level it's at these days, is that something you really want?

Are you sure you are still here on earth? Sounds like a conspiracy to me. Blame it on George W. He gets blamed for everything anyway.
