For math we have to make a carnival gave and we have to have the shape for everything the area and the probablility. I know how to find everything but the probabliity. I know the formula is favorable outcome over total whatever. In our game we have different sized bowls and you put them in a line a bounce a ping pong ball in the bowls. How would I find the probability for this and/or should I make a change to the game so I could find it. I feel really dumb because this is probably easy ,but whatever. Please help!!!

you can assign each bowl a different probability, maybe with some function of the size if the sizes differ. an easier way is to say that each bowl is equally likely to be the one the ball lands in. this would be a discrete uniform distribution. what you are looking for sounds more like a random variable than an actual probability(which would be #favorable events/ #total events)

The bowls are in a line. They are of different sizes. The larger the bowl is, the more likely it will receive a ball. Add up the total length of all the bowls in the line (the sum of their diameters). The probability for any one bowl is its diameter divided by the total length of bowls.

Sanity check: if there were two bowls only, of equal size, then the probability for one bowl is 0.5.

provided that the 1st 2 coin tosses have already got here approximately, you're precise in asserting that the risk is a million/2 as each and every coin toss in autonomous of one yet another. If the question became what's the risk which you toss a penny thrice and you get 3 heads then the percentages would be a million/2 x a million/2 x a million/2. desire that clears it up. :)

depend on wad size of bowls you have.
like you have A, B, C types of bowl (all the same amount , 3bowls each of different size)
the probability of you goaling into A will b 3/9... ****that is the total no. of A bowls you have over the total no. of all bowls you have..
