I'm a sixteen year old female and today in the shower, I noticed a small bump "down there". I'm not sure the correct term for where it is, but it's on one of the sides within or whatever? I don't know, but I examined it more closely and it's whitish-clearish but possible only because the skin was tightly pulled to observe it. It appears to be connected in both sides and it almost seems like a vein that just...I don't know, got bigger or agitated or something. Is this normal or should I go see a doctor or something?

Does it hurt or itch? If it does you need to go get it checked out.

Honestly, it would be easier to help you if you could come up with a better description than "one of the sides within or whatever".

Since I don't really know what you mean by that, the only thing I can think of is that it is either an ingrown hair, herpes, or genital warts.

Go to webmd.com and use their symptom checker, I think that would be very helpful for you. They have this rotating picture of a body, and you tell it whether you are a man or woman and then click on the spot where your symptoms are and it will ask you questions about it. Then it will generate a list of possible conditions (along with descriptions) and you can decide what to do from there.

Best of luck!

If this were a vein, it would have a bluish color, not white. I suggest you talk with your Mom and consult a Doctor. It is better to be safe, than sorry and if it is something abnormal, you need to have it taken care of. Good luck.

it may be an ingrown hair thats causing the bump, or a maybe a fistula, that can easily be treated by a doctor, just a tiny incision and squeezing the tiny blood vessel should do it.

if its pretty even on both sides and your relatively thin, its probably a tendon. it may have flexed depending on how you were standing. watch for changes, if not dont worry.
