Not sure if this is exactly what you mean but, when I do an egg hunt for my nieces and nephews, the prize eggs always have $1.00. They are all under the age of 10 though.

I do a few with one dollar and one egg with a five dollar bill. The rest are either real eggs, or have candy. Preferable NOT chocolate, because it always melts and turns the eggs and kids' hands all gooey nasty

We usually put $5. Once my dad put $10 & that made the hunt much more exciting because of course everyone was running around all crazy trying to be the 1st to find it.

Sadly, everyone in my family gets the biggest amount, 20$.
Then you might be able to find a 5$, 10$ or 15$..

My dad would always put different amounts of money in each egg, depending on how difficult it was to find.
One year, he buried one, and put 20 dollars in it, seeing as it was near impossible to find. The egg was found within twenty minutes... by our golden retriever. LOL!

Well now, if you would put money in an egg, you would break the shell, and then the egg would be worthless. But don't egg me on here, I may be wrong.
