They do not have a responsibility for anything. They are a business and they are not to blame for over eaters and those who are over weight. It's the fault of the eater and no one else. There is too much of a possibility that it could be something ELSE. Eating at Mcdonalds is NOT the only way a person can gain wait, thus, they are not legally responsible. One would need substantial PROOF that they are the primary reason and there is nothing else. This is an impossibility.

No they dont - People should take more responsibility for their own actions. Everybody knows that if you live off mcdonalds you are going to unhealthy and obese.

Why should a company take responsibility because some people dont look after themselves. I like a mcdonalds as much as the next person but I dont live off it. It doesnt do any harm in moderation.

I get sick of this blame game - people blame fast food companies for making them fat, but no one was forcing them to buy this food. They could have easily gone to their local supermarket and bought healthy food.

If they can make their food healthier, sure why not. But overall it's the public's responsibility to eat healthy. If people don't like it then they aren't being forced to purchase food from mcdonalds.

Heck no, people (myself included) should be free to choose what they want to eat and when they want to eat it.

This is a major failing of the legal system, too many frivolous lawsuits are filed these days. If someone's first reflex is to sue a restaurant for their / son's not being able to keep their cake hole shut, there's a serious problem. Things like that shouldn't even get to the judge.

But yeah. I'd gladly trade 20 years off my life for being happier and more in charge of my choices.

'Nuff said.

No. People are responsible for what they eat and where they choose to eat.

If creating healthier food increases business then it would be a good thing for McDonald's but they should not have to.

I think they should be allowed to serve whatever they want and prepare it however the want, regardless of how healthy is it. People make the choice to eat there, perfectly aware of what they are about to eat and how unhealthy it is.
