First off let me say I am not sexually active.

I am 21 and my period has always been normal, same time every month. Since Novemeber It has been all messed up, I Didnt get it in November, then I did in December, Didnt in January, I did in Febuary, and I didnt in March. I went to my family doctor and he refered me to the gynocologist, he didnt say what it could be he just said to go to the gyno to have them figure it out, so now for a week I have to sit here and worry. Anyone have any ideas? I know stress can cause you to be late/ skip but for 5 months? I am not on birth control. I have been before but I stopped taking it because I didnt want to waste money on something I didnt need.

It could be anything from a hormonal imbalance to endometrial hyperplasia (the lining of your uterus gradually grows too thick instead of expelling in a timely manner). Your gynecologist will probably want to do a pap smear, blood check for hormone levels, and an ultrasound to see what's going on. Just take it one step at a time. Most things are perfectly treatable.

Well, from someone who has never had a regular period in her life,,, it could just be your body,,,
sometimes a period is regular, others are not,,,
my daughter has her period every 2 months,,,,
is this normal, no,
but the doctor said it isn't anything to be alarmed about,,,yet....
And if you are saying there is no chance you could be pregnant, then that rules that out,,,
some form of fiber cystic tumors can confuse your womb into believing you are pregnant,,,,(so I have been told)
Endometriosis,,,,can cause abnormal bleeding,,
then there is also DUB-dysfunctional uterine bleeding,,,
in my case-I can spot for 3 days one month, nothing the next,
regular 5-7 day heavy/med flow the next, or start one day, and not stop til 3 months later,,,,,

I would just try to relax,,,,if there were a chance you should worry, I am sure someone in the medical field whom you spoke to would have given you any suspicions they may have had if they thought it might be something serious.
One more thing though,,,how recently were you on BC?
starting and coming off of BC has been known cause
abnormalities,,,,,
there are many different things it could be Hun,,,
It could just be nothing too-Either way-
Good luck to you,,,,
I hope everything turns out OK.....

Hormones control your periods.
For years I was on the "every-other-month" cycle you are experiencing. What the Dr told me, is that you have 2 ovaries. Each month they take turns ovulating/regulating your periods. One ovary is just more active, producing a greater hormone level than the other one. It's not an average occurrence, but it is not uncommon.

To answer your question about other possibilities:
Too much exercise, too low of a body weight, trauma or strong emotions, physical illness, stress, and pregnancy can each be causes for cessation of your period.

It could be stress. Stress can do a lot of things to the female body. But I would go and get checked by the gyno to see what they say. I'm sure it's nothing. As long as you're having a cycle then you should be good.

you could desire to be precise. There are hormone and preservative unfastened chickens available (Purdue is the main important type), yet then you definately would desire to worry approximately hormones in milk, eggs, and different forms of meat. To make concerns much extra complicated many pesticides used in agriculture have hormone-variety consequences whilst ingested, so even vegetarians would desire to be careful. final yet no longer least, there are strains of standard prescribed drugs in public water factors, which comprise estrogen-based delivery administration tablets. conserving the crap out of a weight loss plan isn't basic!
