Smoked a pack a day and drank a bottle of wine every night? Only in my first trimester of course. I mean it is my body and just a clump of cells in question right?

This baby would be born by the way.

And Longhair, I suppose I could take the money of others through welfare to support my messed up kid, right?

So, you libs are actually saying I have the right to mess up someone else's life by acting irresponsibly. Really scummy.

Sam K- I appologize and you're right I should have used the term "Pro-choicers"

Longhair I'd prefer that people not only take care of their unborn childrend but also not kill them.

Supertam, I'm not pregnant nor would I ever do that if I were. The point is that such little is though of a baby that's just forming that some think it's acceptable to be killed if the mother wants it to be.

I strongly suggest you not to do those things while you are pregnant.

Good analogy.

What could I do to stop you? However, this isn't about the smoking a pack a day and drinking wine while pregnant. It's about the fact that you are clumping all liberals together as pro-abortionists, which is completely wrong. Also, I do not condone that decision, but I can't decide for someone else. The fact is people would do it anyways and I would rather some woman be with a professional doctor than a weird guy with a coat hanger. So, in conclusion, I would look down on you either way, but what can about your stupidity? Some woman would smoke, drink, and have abortions; illegal or legal.

It would be the Conservatives that looked down on you. I'm a little confused though. If you are going full term with your child, why would you drink a bottle of wine every night and smoke? You do realize the clump of cells will one day be an actual baby, so why would you not want to make the right decisions on giving it a healthy start? It's your body, yes, but you are making decisions for someone who cannot make them for themselves.

Nope. But the GOP and Bush would blame you for being a drain on society though--once the baby was born.

See: They like to defend the life of the unborn child. But once it becomes a BABY...?

Pffft!

They wash their hands of you and label you as a society-sucking welfare mom.

It doesn't matter how many times you voted Republican.

Why would you want to do that? Most people would get sick- kind of nature's way of protecting the baby.

Haven't you ever heard of fetal alcohol syndrome?

What does Politics have to do with a baby's health.

If you decided to not have an abortion- then start now to do the best darn job you can to giving the baby a healthy life.

The you won't be upset with yourself if something was/is wrong with the baby.

No, liberals tend to work out a lot, eat healthy, care for the environment and stay balanced.

We also support individual rights. If you want to do that to your body, who are we to put you under armed guard, or lock you up.

YOU must deal with the consequences of your actions. The day you decide a politcal party or the government has that right, you admit you're not mature enough to control yourself.

Well, since they have no problems with late term abortions whee the fetus is quite developed and would normally live as a premi, I doubt they rould look down upon you

Why would you want to ruin the future of your future child?

I don't believe it is appropriate for Republicans to denigrate liberals on this subject. Children are being killed in Iraq, driven over by our tanks and shot in cross-fire, in Bush's war of choice. Cool the rhetoric. It makes your people look really, really foolish!

Ohhhhhhhh.... GREAT QUESTION ... I like your style !!

Too bad that they can't see that there as so many families out there that are unable to have children who would provide a loving caring home for that 'fetus'.

I would and I am Conservative. But I get your point. Liberals would be the first to condemn you (because you own your body, but they think they own your child).

You might also analogize their "it takes a village" mentality. Funny, the body of the woman is her own and that is sacrosanct. But the child she bears? That belongs to the state.
