Ok, I was told that this Friday is a bank holiday (Good Friday). I get paid that Friday, and if the banks are going to be closed, will the check cashing places be open? I am going out of town that morning, and really need to cash my payroll check. My place of work does not have direct deposit, as it is a family owned business, and they print out their own checks on site. Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Yes, cash places will be open. Some liquor stores and Wal-Marts will also cash checks for a small fee.

Banks are not closed on Good Friday, or Saturday either. Unlike most employees who get the Friday before or Monday after when a holiday falls on the weekend, banks are only closed on the actual federal holiday. Good Friday is not a federal holiday, neither is Easter for that matter.
