Don't worry about maturity. Life is too short to be mature.

The American dream is just that, a dream concocted by the government in order to get you to work harder and more hours to pay more taxes than you would if you worked normal hours. As for maturity, I guess it's living on your own and paying your own bills and taking care of yourself. I still act like a kid most of the time, so growing up has nothing to do with it.

American Dream: Financial success made by working hard, yet somehow not being a slave to "the man". Unrealistic since the immigrants' dreams wipes yours out.
Maturity: Avoiding the supreme urge to kick "the man" directly in the groin, and taking the paychecks.

Maturity is when you don't have to be told to what to do. You take on responsibilities and you don't ask for anything for doing them you just do what needs to be done.
American dream is anything is possible.

Just wait a very short time, and you can define maturity for yourself. A lot faster than you will want it to happen.

As long as you are mature when you need it that is all you need to do.
You have to live life on the edge a little or a lot depending on your dream.
Go for it, life is for the living
