Garrison Keiller has a great cat song about going to work every day to support his cats who lay around and eat and take up room on his couch. My cats do the same thing, take up room, sleep on anything black so that the hairs they shed will show up better, and eat only the gravy in the canned cat food, leaving the rest for the stray cat who visits every night.

No

The cats are in charge. You are only sleep in the bed because they allow it.

I think they will start charging YOU rent. They only let you stay because you can open the cat food can.

Sounds like typical cat behaviour to me. I have four and one Pomeranian.
The cats generally run the household and boss my hubby and I around, they boss the kids too, but not as much.

Good night to you.

Maybe, Who knows what cats think. If it continues you might want to consider that option though.

make them do chores for you instead. I had my cat doing the dishes every evening for a while there.
