Do NOT reset the router unless you know your setup information. Go to start/run. Type in cmd and enter. Type in ipconfig and enter. The ip address of your laptop should show, or an error message. If the addresses come up note the default gateway (router) address. Open your browser and type this number into the address bar. If this gives you a logon page your encryption settings etc are OK. Go to tools/internet options/connections and ensure do not dial a connection is turned on. If you are unable to connect in this way try connecting with the LAN (CAT5) cable that was supplied with the laptop. Then log in and check your status page to see if you are`connected to the Internet. If not you probably have incorrect settings for your provider user name or password, or one of the protocol settings. Check with your provider for this information.

If you are using your laptop to connect to the internet from your wireless router and the page is not found that means you haven't set your WEP keys on your laptop. Each router has their own WEP key (for security) and for you to set up so that a hacker can't hack into your network.

You need to manual store your WEP key and save it onto your laptop and when you do this, your laptop will recognize your wireless router signal information and then you can use the internet.

What page is it looking for? Try to type yahoo.com in the top and see if it will go to the home page. If it does then go into tools and internet noptions and make it your default page. If it doesn't find it then you aren't connected to the router.

If u dont get reply then it is not connected..
If u get reply there is no prob wit ur wireless..
2)type the command ipconfig/all
