I think Diamond looks more appealing than Pearl because of the pokemon that you can catch in it and I like Dialaga. Pearl doesn't interest me as much, but I'll probably get it eventually.

There is not just diamond and pearl, there's also emerald version, it's kinda like Ruby and Sapphire, but it's a little challenging and different. When you Battle people, some of them give you their phone numbers and they get to call you, and the gym leader of electric-types is very difficult to defeat (Trust me, I've been there)
