Yes, this is unusual but not unlikely - There are certainly muslims who convert to Judaism (one website I found said there were 7 last year in Israel alone). People of any religion can convert to Judaism if they truly believe and are willing to live as Jews. There is so much misinformation in the responses to this question! I laughed out loud when I read the "answer" from someone that much of Judaism is copied from Christianity - That is truly hilarious, because Jesus was a Jew and all of Christianity was developed thousands of years after Judaism was. So I would recommend doing your research somewhere more reliable than the internet. The first step is to find a rabbi who you can discuss this with and who will talk to you about all of these issues.

Alot of Muslims have converted to Judaism actually. Many Palestinians convert to Judaism in Israel. Only an Orthodox conversion would be accepted though

By converting your religion from Islam to Judaism, sorry it means you go backwards.Yes it is unlikely. You changed the most updated religion with the outdated and old one.I think you are not a better muslim. You did not study well the mean
ing of our holy qur'an and hadeth verse by verse and surah by surah and you did not compare it with the Torach. If you understand its meaning you can imagine how complete and
logic Allah the only one God has given us muslims the best life guide for a safety and happy life here in this world and then in the eternal life after our deaths in heaven..By convert
ing your religion to Judaism you can not enter heaven and you do not believe Muhammad pbuh as the last prophet .Sor ry you are called a murtad or an apostate.I hope God will bless you and show you the right path.Amien 3 X

I don't think you were ever a Muslim because if you were and you were really converting you would not be announcing on yahoo answers actually you would have to be mature enough not to ask such a question on a forum where you don't know anyone....... 2ndly, very few people turn towards Judaism from any other religion because Judaism has its roots in very steep water. no offense to anyone but most of the religion is copied from Christianity and Jesus was a Jew but followers of Jesus don't Follow Judaism..... Most of the stories or what ever you want to call them are told in the form of mythology and folklore...
Either case may Allah bless you

Good for you! Judaism is a religion of peace. They do not try to convert. It is a ***** however. By now you are used to the halal-kosher diet. It is easiest to convert into the reform faith, most difficult is the orthodox. It takes 1-2 years as you have to celebrate every holiday. If you know Arabic, it will be easier to learn Hebrew

You mean you are converting from being identified as a Muslim to being identified as a Jew. Both titles will get you shot in certain parts of the world. Why not dump religion altogether and simply be known as a Secularist? Do you really need religious identification? And why would you stick with Judaism if you are so quick to dump Islam?

Actually, you'd be surprised to learn that these religions have MANY things in common. I do not think it's unlikely :)
