If monetary status is important to you then no, you don't need a friend like this. In my opinion, it's people like this that make the best friends. You can't judge a person by the way they dress, their looks or how much they can afford. If you are shallow enough to believe you only need friends of your statis, you'd probably do ths girl a favor by not letting her think you are her friend. You should take some lessons from this person and maybe you'll find a few secrets to life. I wasn't the richest or poorest, didn't dress the best or worse and am not the prettiest or ugliest person, nor am I now. I had friends that were popular, some were nerds, some were bookworms and some were just plain not popular at all and I still don't judge people that way. I like people period, from all walks and I have learned something from having that mix of companions. The old saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" holds true when looking for geniune people, whether it's a friend or more. Learn to look beyond the physical and financial status of people and you will be alot happier! Most people are alot prettier inside, if you can get to that point.

Being ugly is a matter of opinion. She probably can't afford the stylish clothing you wear.Money isn't the key factor for a friend but her character and how you feel about her.Maybe if you have any clothes you no longer wear and you are about the same size you could help her out.As long as mom don't mind.My friend Bonnie, was poor too.But you couldn't ask for a better friend.Don't let others determine your friends either.

Friends aren't the clothes you wear. Friends are people who trust you and you trust back. Without friends, you'd be pretty lonely. Plus, books aren't always good looking on the outside, but the inside story is actually pretty good. And that covers up for everything. Looks don't matter, personality does. So I say it is worth it to have a friend like her even when you talk about her behind her back. She probably cares as a friend and wouldn't it hurt you if you found out that your friend is asking questions doubting your friendship?

The better question is WHY IS SHE YOUR FRIEND? You sound so full of yourself it's not funny. My friend is ugly, who are you to judge how someone else looks? Maybe if you come off that high horse of your you would be able to see things better. FYI - clothes don't make the person, it's what's inside that counts. Maybe you need to stop buying stuff and get you together

Everyone is different and some ppl are less fortunate than others. If you are asking this question, then you arnt a true friend. There was something that you liked about this person that made you befriend her, but dont look at her, take a good look at yourself and ask yourself if you are a true friend and not judging her.

The way you talk about this girl, it's not worth it to have a friend like YOU!
My God, with you for a friend, an enemy would be a welcome break. At least they'd be upfront about their disdain.
She's doing YOU a favor to hang out with you, Toots, not the other way around.
There's really not much point for you to have a friend at all; no one could ever think as much of you as you do.
Oh, and I did mean that to be offensive, you spoiled, snotty little sh**

Roberta, she should drop you like a hot potato . You are a conceited snob and she would be so much better off with out someone like you ... You are the lucky one to have a friend like her....but, you won't ever figure out why until it is too late. She should get a load of this p/s stuff....

Of course, maybe some of your fashion sense will rub off on her, and some of your outgoing-ness. Money shouldn't be a factor of friendship, and if she is nice to talk to then you can always have someone to help you through your problems.
Her personality should be the reason you are friends with her, and besides, opposites attract.

Well, do you like hanging out with her? I would think that it would be more important than being ugly and poor. I've gotta wonder if she's kinda desperate as well, considering how shallow you are coming off right now.

Sweet Roberta, you should keep this girl as your friend, it makes no difference if you are rich or poor. It is what a person has in side of them. If she is nice well, be her friend and do not judge.
