A hotter surface emits more light per unit area, so yes to the first.

Maybe to the second. If it had a larger surface area then it would be brighter, but the question only says the mass is larger. Now in real stars, a larger mass usually means a larger surface area, but not always. A white dwarf for example could have a larger mass that the Sun but be much smaller than the Sun.
