I'm the star of the basketball team. I am expected to play. But I don't have fun playing anymore. The pressure is always on me. I just want to play for fun, like on the weekends. At school, not at games and practice.
The coach has already told me, that I'm starting next year again. But I don't want to play anymore, everyone is counting on me, should i play or not?
To play or not to play, that is the question.
Seriously i need help

I'd say take the summer to think about it. You may be tired of it right now. The season can be long. Just give yourself a little space. You have plenty of time to decide.
I just looked your Bible verse up (Isaiah 40:31), now that is the perfect one to focus on as you are contemplating this decision!

Being the star or a leader carries responsibility. To play the game without consequence is easy and fun, but does not present a challenge, which you may need to stay alert and on top of your game. You could be suffering temporary burnout. Try to focus more on the passion you feel for the game rather than the downside of being the star player. If you have truly lost your thirst for competition, don't hurt the team by giving less than your best.

Take some time to think about why you are deciding to quit. If your heart is no longer in it, you could run the risk of hurting your team by being a part of it. But most of all you owe it to yourself to do what you feel regardless of what your coach thinks. You have the summer to take a break and have fun, try to keep basketball off of your mind for a little bit and concentrate on having some fun!

I would follow my heart...to be..and to remain the star you must have the passion....I would sit down with your coach and let him know how you feel.
If you're only interested in playing some pick-up ball..how could you possibly remain the star.. if the thrill to play competitive 'ball is gone...it's gone!
Also after speaking with the coach arrange a team meeting with the coach present ...you're teammates will understand and respect you for letting them know.

I'm the best runner on the track team & I just quit yesterday..
Same reason as you have.. I just want to go running & enjoy it, not for competition.
I say go with not playing.. if its 100% what you want.

youre are just losing your passion, the coach wont count onyou if he didnt see any potential from you. give your self the chance to rekindle that passion, who knows, you may excel into it. then if still you cant seem to find your heart into it even after trying to, then dont force yourself. do what your heart says

talk to your parents. listen to what advice they might have. sometimes we have to do things we really don't feel like doin. that's a part of life. b ball might pay off for you in the long run. but if you really don't feel like playin then don't. tell coach about the problem. he may be able to help you.
