Can I just go to my general practitioner or do I need to go to a specific kind of doctor?

It depends on where you are. In Australia, you can get them from your GP, but in America, maybe you need to see a gynacologist? Best to just ring the doctor and ask before making the appointment...

Usually an ob/gyn doctor, although some general practitioner doctors do some ob/gyn work too. Planned Parenthood is great also, especially if you are young, they will give you alot of information, and take the time to explain everything so you feel comfortable.

Yes, in addition to many free clinics for young girls. Look under your cities web page, or in the phone book for local clinic, or the telehealth phone numbers in your area. You can speak to a nurse for further direction. Condoms are safer though! They protect from sexually transmitted diseases!
And remember the worst thing you can be called by anyone when your a teen is MOM!

Your general practitioner, a gynocoligist or a Planned Parenthood ( i think its free there ). Ask for Yaz.

I go to the Health Department...it may be cheaper!
But yes, you could call your practitioner and ask!

you go to a ob-gyn a specialst in females.... or the planned parenthood in any town for a small fee would be the best.. a GP is for like regular health their not specializing in birth and ob-gyn things.

An obgyn & maybe a Gen prac will give you a prescription but first will have to do a breast & pelvic exam
