talked to hp by phone on 30 mar.2007, about missing program for xp, phone conversation said support tech would be in contact with me between 10 ;00 to 3 ;00 on mar 31, 2007, but no phone call . what do i do next!!!!!

go to their web site. click on support input your printer details EG make model no.. it will then take you to downloads ...
make a folder called HP drivers download the file into that folder, after it is downloaded go to that folder and click on install,,,, install the drivers Do not have the printer plunged in to the computer when you install the drivers,,
now plug in the printer it will find the printer aand say found new hard ware.... let it do the searching for the driver, when it is done it will say print is working

You can go to the hp web site and download the software.
You can also go to control panel, printers and faxes, add printer and create new port, then select standard tcp/ip port.
