it's a matter of knowing the conversion

(1) 3 feet make a yard ... hence 4 yard = 4x3 feet = 12 feet
(2) 1 gallon is 4 quarts ... 28 quarts = 28/4 gallons
(3) 10 millimeters in a centimeter ... hence 25cm = 25x10mm
(4) 1 gallon is 8 pints ... 26 gallons = 26x8 pints

1) There are 3 feet in every yard. 4*3= 12 feet

2) There are 4 quarts in every gallon. 28/4=7 gallons

3) There are 100 millimeters in every centimeter. 25*100=2500 millimeters

4) There are 8 pints in a gallon. 26*8=208 pints
