It's been scientifically proven that breastfed babies have fewer incidences of ear infections, but that doesn't mean they are completely immune to them. Most babies have ear infections in the first few months, so she is already ahead of the game. Congrats on giving her the most wonderful "Mommy milk" in the world!

I was a breastfed baby and I got ear infections from 4 months of age up until I was 10 years of age. I think it's just one of those things, some people get them, others dont. I think thats an old wives tale.

Breast fed babies are less likely to be ill. This is because your breast milk contains your antigens that fight against disease. Your baby has yet to develop the same antigens.

So breast feeding is a good way of making sure your baby grows up as healthy as possible, however it is not grant immunity against any illness.

breast milk will help to prevent ear infections, but it's not a cure all. Congratulations on giving your baby the best there is. We can't prevent everything, but you've certainly taken a first step.
