She really annoys the hell out of me on American Idol, even though she's technically very good. Is it how she always sounds old-fashioned? That fake "Gee, I'm shocked I'm here!" face? Or something else altogether?

I couldn't agree with you more. I have been saying for weeks now that she is one hell of a good singer. But I don't like her type of music, and the geeky "I'm so shocked" look that's obviously fake. I have to say she is probably the best singer this year, but unfortunatly it's not the type of music I like. She annoys the hell out of me too. But she is good.

I see what you are talking about. She seems to really lack the confident nature that say, Lakisha has. This may well be her down fall too. In the end, I plan on voting for Lakisha. She takes her compliments with much grace, unlike Melinda.

She is incredibly talented, but I have to agree that the "Oh my gosh - I can't believe they REALLY think I'm good (blush)" is getting really old. She is as confident as any star while she is singing, and then overdoes the "gee whiz" bit when she is done. I think that Jordin Sparks is the perfect balance of down-to-earth confidence (without being arrogant).

I agree with you. This whole "You like me? You really like me?" act is getting old. She knows she's good. She's just playing this "I'm so shocked that you like me" card to get the pity vote and to appear modest and get the audience to try to boost her up by clapping for her. She can sing, but, she can't perform. Blake is by far the best performer on the show.

Oh my god! You could not have phrased it any better. She knows she can sing and plays all dumb when she's tossed a compliment. She gives that dear in headlights face and it anoys the heck out of me. Whew I feel better know!!!

You are right about one thing, she is very good. She puts more passion and feelings into her songs than the others. I think she is just being humble as one should. Anyway, I think she will take the crown.
