Hello, I just have a quick question, I am not sure if my car is idling to high. When it is idling the meter reads a little under 1000 RPM like maybe 800 or so. Is this to high and what may I need to fix if it is to high on a '85 Fiero. Also another question not concerning the Idling, when I do ride and hit a bump I hear a knocking sound coming from the front left wheel, what could this be? I'm sure its a suspension problem or something of the such. Another thing is sometimes when I drive I will hear a quick "ding" out of no where like my door is ajar or something. Thanks, sorry for so much to read!

800 RPM sounds reasonable , Some tach's are not too accurate . The knocking sound from the front could be be any part of the suspenion or even a loose blockheater cord. Have someone bounce up and down on the fender and see if you can trace it. I have no idea about the 'ding"

The RPM maybe listed under the hood.
Is it Automatic or stick.
The noise you here is common unless its a metal on metal noise.
But i m guessing its the rubber bushings that are worn out and need replacing.
Is it 4 cyl?
Many variables with your idle limits. Fuel injection / Carb.
But it should be under a 1000 about 800 i think
