It is a matter of habit. No. 1. People point at their wrist while asking time that is a gesture along with Speech to make you understand exactly what they want. If people ask where is toilet they also have gesture by showing their smallest finger. Speech and gesture make the question very clear. When language was not developed people were talking by gesture. That habit is still with us from our forefathers. No. 2 When remote is there why they should change channel manually.It will take some time to find out where is remote. No need to discuss all the points but if you were in their position you also will do same thing. When your friend comes from out of station back to home your first question will be oh! you have come. You see him. He is just before you and still you ask oh! you have come. Take it easy. No need to hate. I hope I am very clear.

Yes, but people continue to ask for them, becuase people continue to give them.
I would like to see giving a star costing the giver a point and giving the point to the reciever.
That would make getting or giving a star mean something. . .

I do find it kind of annoying yes. If people want to give you a star then they will give you a star otherwise they don't want to give you a star. And just for asking this question which is a good question I will give a star. Peace!!!!!!!!!
