I've know for a long time since about 4th grade? If some comes right out and asks, should I lie like I've been doing or just come clean?

You don't HAVE to but in the long run it will be better if you did.
Honest advice, I wouldn't do it until you are financially capable of standing on your own. Many parents don't accept it and use the money thing to back you into a corner. Until you can stand up and actually walk away should they present you with an ultimatum, things will be VERY difficult.

It really depends on you and your family. If your family is one that would disown you for who you are then wait until you are old enough to live on your own before you say anything. Coming out is mostly a personal decision. If you are not ready to face the ordeal of disappointment and initial shock of sadness then continue to keep up the lying until you are ready. From personal experience i would suggest waiting until you move out of the house so you have somewhere to escape to at the end of the day. Once you come out you will never regret it, its like an instant weight lifted off your shoulders and you can finally start living your life. Just make sure you are ready for it. good luck!

Thats a tough one.
My first inclination is to say keep your sexuality to yourself, if you home and in school.
Now if you have some gay friends that the parents know about there son, then i would talk to them.

You can always use a couple of lines LIke
Why is it important to you?
Would it change how you think of me?
This will also let you know where they stand.
if you get what you consider a good answer then you will have to decide the risk factor for yourself.

If you keep bottling your true self up then one day ur gonna go insane and lose grip on reality come out its really not all that bad it takes time for people to get over but once they realize the real you then theyll only love you more.

It depends on how old you are. If you're still a teen, they will not want to take you seriously. If you are past your teens, then it depends on you. Do you feel ready to tell them? I wouldn't wait til your random cousin asks either- I would go face to face with my parents and let them know first.

If they ask, that means they suspect something.
I would advocate coming clean, but only when you think you are ready to deal with it with them.
I have a few family members who are gay, I am a Christian, and I love them regardless. Their "status" does not change who they are to me and how much I love them.

I hope this helps...

You don't have to do anything. Do whatever you feel is right. I am straight and I have no problem with homosexuality. As my Freshman History teacher (the wisest person I know) once said, "You don't have to do anything but die."

For a bit of humour, she also said that "You don't have to do anything but turn in your term paper." She was tough...

Depends on how old you are, if you're living at home and if you think they can handle it. However the one thing I can tell you for sure is that not telling them will eat you up inside and you'll hate yourself for it.

If you're financially independent, then you should just tell them. It guess it depends on your parents. If your parents are open minded, then it should be ok. If not, they'll probably kick you out if you're still living with them.
