I have a DSL internet connection, can i make it stay on forever like a cable connection,. Because i have to work on Linux, and i use a live cd.. but i cant connect to the internet because i have to log in every time to turn my connection on. really need help. or is there any other way to connect thru my dsl on Linux?

BTW Tisp was Google's April fools joke - Toilet internet service provider- through your plumbing. It was a JOKE, dude.

Sorry about your Linux issue with the DSL. Will see what I can find and edit this post to assist.

Couldn't let the Tisp thing go without comment!

There should be some software out there that can do these things. Search it on Google... Speaking of Google, Google now offers FREE Internet connection, it is call the Tisp, but it is still in Beta version, try that! I it very fast (faster than Comcast).
