On May 14th, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on
Treasury, Postal Service and General Government included a
provision in the Treasury appropriations bill that would
increase the President's salary to $400,000, effective January
20, 2001. The full Committee on Appropriations is expected to
act on this recommendation shortly.

No! He makes $400,000 per year. Congress approved an increase during the Clinton Administration to that figure, and it cannot be changed as long as Bush is in office. But since Dubya is wealthy and doesn't need the money anyway, he donates his salary to charity, I believe. He also receives a $50 thousand per annum tax-free expense account.

A mere 400,000 + 50,000 expense....Not hardly enough for a man that has a near impossible job.....My company just hired a CEO, for 613,000. No where near the awesome responsibility.
