From the online Merriam-Webster dictionary: Pronunciation: \ˈma-jik\ Function: noun Etymology: Middle English magique, from Middle French, from Latin magice, from Greek magikē, feminine of magikos Magian, magical, from magos magus, sorcerer, of Iranian origin; akin to Old Persian maguš sorcerer Date: 14Th century 1 a: the use of means (as charms or spells) believed to have supernatural power over natural forces b: magic rites or incantations 2 a: an extraordinary power or influence seemingly from a supernatural source b: something that seems to cast a spell : enchantment 3: the art of producing illusions by sleight of hand Magic is just wishing for something that seems impossible and seeing it come to life. Many people will call it an illusion, but others can't deny that what they feel, and what they see. The most important thing is for you to know what the definition is to you alone. Everyone will have a different opinion of what it is and what is means, but you shouldn't listen to another person. I do consider some magic a miracle, but some not. The little girl's childish dream would be about finding her prince charming and expecting him to be like the princes in a Disney movie. That's not magic, it's just stupid. No one's perfect and no one will marry a cartoon character. At least I hope not. If you truly believe in magic, look for it everywhere you go. The grass, the trees, the flowers, the sky, the birds, even the insects. It's not quite magic, but where would you be without any of those? That's a miracle. Or even magic. It's up to you to give it a definition, but only if you really want to. It's not an illusion, it's all there.

there is no scientific definition because it isn't science. The best science would call it would be a phenomenom...which is something that happens that has yet to be explained.
