By year I think Emma and Emily, Jacob, Ethan, and Aidan top all the past few years, but overall people still around I would definitely say Jennifer for girls and Michael or John for boys.

I graduated with a class of 30 and we had 3 Jennifers. My step-daughter is Jennifer Lynn.

Found this. It is based on those still living during the 1990 Census. In order:

MARY
PATRICIA
LINDA
BARBARA
ELIZABETH
JENNIFER
MARIA
SUSAN
MARGARET
DOROTHY

JAMES
JOHN
ROBERT
MICHAEL
WILLIAM
DAVID
RICHARD
CHARLES
JOSEPH
THOMAS

Current tops, based on spelling so Aiden, Aidan, Aden, Ayden etc. count separately, Added up it would have been third but anyway:

1 Jacob Emily
2 Michael Emma
3 Joshua Madison
4 Matthew Abigail
5 Ethan Olivia
6 Andrew Isabella
7 Daniel Hannah
8 Anthony Samantha
9 Christopher Ava
10 Joseph Ashley

I believe the top names are Madison, Emily and Emma. For a boy I think it was listed as Jacob or Dylan but I could be making that up.

It completely depends on where you are from. I live on the East Coast and in my preschool class I am overrun with Hannah's & Hailey's. I have had a great variety of boys names...a couple Gavyn's, Carter's and Carson's, and Isaac's. SD

do you mean for 2006/2007 or overall? because overall its gotta be Jennifer, Jen, Jenn, Jenny, Jennie or some variation. it was the most popular girls name for like 20 years.

i never had a class growing up that didnt have at LEAST one other jennifer in it and at my job today there are a total of 7 of us. this is completely randomly but i went out the other night and i met 2 others. seriously. there are a lot of us.
