Does that just mean they ask and answer the most questions or something in that category.

Badges are updated weekly...if you have been active in one certain category, based on percentages, you could get a badge for that week...I read a few days ago, that another user said you had to have 10% best answer, but I have only 8 % and mine reappeared this week, so I don't think that is entirely accurate. Get up to at least Level 4, do the bulk of your asking and answering in one category, have over 10% in "Best Answers", don't take a couple weeks off, and you're in!
You can also get it at level 3, but your percentage of "Best Answers" has to be higher, I don't know how high, maybe 20% ?
(At least, until they change the rules AGAIN.)

Mine comes and goes and I have no idea why. I don't ask very many questions, I have not been over 8% on best answers, but I do tend to answer a bunch of questions. I am answering this just to see if I have my "badge" back or not.
It was there yesterday, now I see it's gone. Go figure.

I really wanted one until i got one. I was ticked that people who had less points had one. Then i got my orange banner,and was happy for a day or two , then it was gone. I don't know who the b*stard is who took it , but it's gone. But i can honestly say i don't care anymore. The Yahoos are all messed up. I wish they'd just go back to plain old thumbs up and down.

You must get 10%+ best answers and you must in a certain category for a certain amount of time. I had top contributor stats a couple of days ago but they are now gone :(

You get it by posting answers in a specific category. Once you reach a certain Number or % of Best Answers in that category, you get the button =)

60 bazillion answer. Answer anything and everything, all day, until they tell you're done for that day. Get up early, skip work and start all over again until they say you've reached your limit again. Repeat until you are fired, then continue until your Internet provider cuts you off for non payment. Look for cardboard box to live in and soup line for dinner. Piece of cake!!!

I think you have to get a lot of points and be on level 7 or ya i think its cause they answer the most questions?

you have to have over 10% best answers...mine keeps coming and going away..they should have one for the top answerer in each catagory and one if your in the top ten ,... i have both of those top in one for right know and a couple in the top 10
