Since you have just the empty weight of the trailer, the only thing you'll have to deal with is wind drag on the front of the trailer. Your mileage should be about 3/4 of what it would be with just the truck alone. It's about 2,000 miles from Az. to Mi. so figure your mileage accordingly. You left out the class of your truck ie: 1500, 2500, 3500, 5.7, 7.4, 8.1, or Duramax diesel. Do you have to take the trailer? If not then leave it. They've switched over to the summer gas blends, so it will cost more for fuel. Example: Chev. 2500HD with trailer = 12MPG. Gas cost $2.50 per gal. 2,000 miles divided by 12 = 167 gals @ 2.50 = $417.50 min. fuel cost. Use your actual mileage to figure + 20% for bad weather. Any bad weather will drasticly affect your fuel milage. Hope this helps, Good luck!
