How do you feel about the Carry Conceal Law in your state? I feel that it is a great idea and only Law abiding citizens should have the right to carry. The Police cannot be everywhere or stop everything so, we all deserve to protect ourselves from crime. I also, feel that we need to use common sense when we pull that weapon and use it. Don't use it to just be hurting someone instead to protect yourself and others if that time comes. Life is precious and I hope I never ever have to use my weapon except for target practice. It sometimes feel like the old western days to be able to carry a gun 24/7 and hope you never have to use it. What do you think?

~No 8 hours is not enough.
No, most people should not own handguns. Most would lack the guts, skill or ability to use one for protection under appropriate circumstances.
No, the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee the unfettered right to bear arms; it guarantees the right to bear arms will not be infringed as long as a "well regulated militia" remains necessary. That necessity is long since dead.
Yes, most of the illegal guns on the streets came from home burglaries or from thefts of guns intended for public sale.
Yes, I believe some gun control is necessary and proper - I have no need for a full-auto Uzi to shoot rabbits. Having fired a Thompson on full, I know I wouldn't even consider hunting with it. An AK-47 is even worse.
No, I have no desire to give up any of my 2 pistols, 3 revolvers, 2 shotguns or 4 rifles. I use them all, but do not foresee any likelihood that I would use any of them on another human being. More importantly, I don't want to be disarmed by an assailant and have my weapon turned on me. In my work, I've seen that happen too many times (and no, I'm not a cop). Likewise, my weapons are locked up and kept separate from the ammo when not in use. I don't want my kids or their friends blowing each other away, and I sure don't want a burglar getting to a loaded firearm before I can.
I shudder to think how many people out there share your delusions of being the mythical cowboy, and how many, after a few shots and beers, might want to try a shootout in the street. My weapons are tools. Using one makes me feel no more macho than using a hammer or a fountain pen. I got over the macho thing when I got my first BB gun when I was 10. I thank my father for that. Therein lies the problem. That rush you get just knowing you have it scares the hell out of me and makes me wonder how long it will be before you use it on somebody or accidentally shoot someone while showing off with it. That single statement of yours is one of the best arguments for gun control.

I love the idea. Gun laws only hurt law abiding gun owners.
