no, i don't vote for the first one. I however do vote for the first one that i really do agree with. I don't read it all, once i spot an answer that i completely agree with, i go with it

Because people do it for the points. They dont care about who's answer is the best. Most of the time the first answer doesnt even answer the question.

I know!Not all people do it,it's their opion NOT yours!They take their time reading thier question then answering the best answer THEY think fits for them!

i was under the impression that once the asker picks the best response that it automaticly moves to the 1st spot.
