Besides buying gold, what are some easy was to make it? How do the gold sellers make so much so fast?

Thank you for actually asking how to make gold, instead of just asking where to buy it lol. First, a few simple rules to give you a strong base of cash.

1. Unless the item is gray, never ever sell it to a vendor. White stuff, even things that may seem like trash to you (light feathers, for example), can sell for a whole lot of cash. White quality and up, put it on the auction house. Example: a stack of light feathers on my server sells on the AH for 2-5g, versus maybe 1 silver at the vendor...and that's an item that drops off mobs as low as lvl 12ish. Even if your item doesn't sell, you can always then sell it to a vendor to make up for your lost deposit money.

2. Take two gathering professions, usually 1) skinning and 2) either mining or herbalism, so that you don't have to keep switching between ore tracking and herb tracking. Gather your heart out, and sell all your mats at the auction house. You'll have plenty of extra money to purchase anything you think you otherwise would have crafted. Check out some of the prices of ore and herbs on your server to see how much you could be making. Low level herbs that sell well are generally stranglekelp, grave moss, and swiftthistle. All these can be gathered in your 20s, and they've sold really well on every server I've ever checked. All ore prices tend to be pretty high now still, with the added demand jewelcrafting created.

Using just those two rules, without even going out of my way to gather stuff, my priest made almost 200g by the time she was level 20.

To answer the first question: The ultimate answer for gold is not easy, because it require a combination of grinding and auction house work. Kill things for their stuff, and sell it on the auction house. You can also buy cheap and under-priced things on the auction house and turn right around and sell it for even more there. If you can get your enchanting skills high enough you can make tones of gold without eve leaving town. Players will shell out a lot of gold for weapon glow, even if they have to supply the materials themselves!

Gold sellers make there gold through grinding. Most use multiple accounts and bots, automated programs that run a character without a player. They go out an kill a monster with a specific drop, and use many characters to keep killing the monsters over and over. Then they sell the items, and compile the gold into one character that sells it to other players.
