Bus is the cheapest

The bus is the cheapest public transportation.
If you feel comfortable, try www.erideshare.com People drive this route all the time and sell you a spot in their car for a lot cheaper than the bus. You can also search the same on craigslist.org (look under rideshare or carpool) and you can find any number of listings with dates of travel.

If you didn't know, there is a new airline called Porter. It's actually very economical and flies into downtown Toronto. Saves a lot of time and hassle. If you're not flying Easter Weekend it's about $150 one way (taxes and surcharges included)

Bus is cheaper. There are two routes:
1. Via Ottawa (Greyhound)
2. Via Kingston-Cornwall (Coach Canada) This is the cheapest.
However you may find good air faire promotions (mostly on airlines operating out of the Toronto Island airport) that are even less expensive than the bus faire. However, you'll have to add to that surcharges plus transportation to and from the airports in Toronto and Montreal.

depends on how fast you want to travel bus is probably the slowest, yet likely cheapest, check the net and local bus depots. plane the fastest but most expensive no doubt, online like cheaptickets, or expedia, or travelocity can give you a decent idea of ticket cost. train settling in between, as would the price common sense tells me, still not all that bad of a way to travel, kind of a fun experience.

I'd definitely go by train! What's wrong with Via Rail's offer?

All the ex-Montrealers are going home for Easter, find one of them to give you a lift.
