That depends upon your motivation. If you want to earn lots of money, then no. If you want to be respected, then no. If you want to go into the law because you are passionate about a cause, then there are better ways to serve the cause. You must also consider the opportunity costs of four years undergrad and three years of law school, or about $200,000.00 in lost wages (at 25k/year) as well as about 100k in tuition, books, and fees.

That's a very personal decision, and one you have to make for yourself. I recommend that you speak with attorneys in your area. Most will be very willing to set aside time to speak with you about their career. Also, visit law schools near you. Attend a few classes! Most will let you observe, and many will invite you do exactly that. Talk to the students! Talk to the faculty! It's a personal decision, and don't let ANYONE make that decision for you.

If you want follow your dreams and make something of yourself, you have a strong sense of justice and social equality, and responsibility to uphold the law and ethical standards of an important position in our everchanging society. do you want to make a bunch of money? do you think you are better than everyone else? do you aspire to become a judge one day? do you like to hear yourself talk? would you take the low road to achieve desired results?
