12/x = 17/7
12*7/x = 17*7/7
84/x = 17
84*x/x = 17*x
84 = 17x
84/17 = 17x/17
4.9 = x

I am a college student and I found this question challenging
12/x=17/7
times both sides by 7
7*(12/x)=17
then simpily times both sides by x
84=17x
divide by 17
x=4.9

You upload a log to each and each and every facet of the equation. you receives: lg5^x = lg45 using the guidelines of logarithm, you are able to deliver the x capacity down, so that you receives: xlg5 = lg45 fixing for x = x = (lg45)/(lg5) = 2.4 (nearest 10th)
