Yankees. They have a lineup that will probably score 1000 runs this year. Although their pitching might be a bit of a question mark long term they still have Rivera. The greatest relief pitcher in history.
The Red Sox have thrown all their hopes on an unproven Double A pitcher from Japan. Curt Schilling showed just how "old" he was in the opener. Except for "Big Poopie" and Manny the Sox lineup cannot compare with the Yankees.

The Yankees. They have a better lineup and a better pitching staff. I was happy to find out that Schilling choked against the Royals. What I said turned out to be true. Even if Dice-K is good, the Red Sox will need more than Dice-K to compete with the Yankees. Beckett is clearly not the same pitcher that he used to be. If Hughes lives up to expectations, the Red Sox will be in serious trouble.

What Pitching is it that the guy above me speaks of in Boston? Schilling? who last year began to show his ageeing right before our eyes, how many 5 run innings has he given up in his career up till last year, i bet not as many total as he did last year, and then getting lit up on Monday by the ROYALS.. yes, Schillings still an ace... RIGHT. Beckett, i have no idea about, last year and year before that he was either very mediocre r very bad, who knows with him, but he has amazing stuff. Lester? if i remember him correctly, before he got sick he was infuriating boston fans by getting lit up regularly even tho he has real good stuff...Wakefield, he showed age finally last year. Piniero, is he starting, gimmer a break..i mean, other than Schilling, Beckett, and Matsuzaka, Who EXACTLY are the RedSox starting 5.. and as for Matsuzaka..i can hear about how great he is on and on and on.. Let him face the Yankees, Blue Jays, Orioles, Tampa, CLievland, Whitesox, Detroit, Anaheim Minnesota, and Texas lineups and be this wonderous pitcher..then ill be convinced. And lest not even START on that horror show they call a bullpen outside of Papelbon. Then that Offense is good, but it Does Not APPROACH the Yankees, Texas, Cleveland, Toronto, Or Anaheims for that matter.. they have two hitters you fear, Manny and D.Ortiz, everyone else can be pitched to, including their 70million dollar man Drew.... The Yankees are Better, Best Offense in MLB, A REAL good Pen leading up to MAriano Rivera, and at this point, i will take Wang, Pettite, Mussina, Over Schilling Beckett, and MAtsuzaka.. atleast until Matsuzaka actually DOES something in the Majors and not on paper.
The Yankees pitched their 4th or 5th starter on monday and he pitched like a 4th or 5th starter... The Red Sox Pitched their number 1 starter on monday and he lasted 4 innings and gave up 5 earned runs.... But the Redsox Pitching is better? They Faced Gil Meche, who EVERYONE was Shocked got the money he got from KC, because we all know he's not that good, and he shut the Red Sox Offense, INCLUDING Manny and D.ORtiz down.. but the Redsox offense is better than the Yankees who thru 3 runs up on Scott Kazmir, who the Redsox DONT hit and then 6 more up on that horrid Tampa pen for 9 total.. but the Red Sox Offense is better THAT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE!

Red Sox, they have better pitching and hitting. With Lugo batting at the top of the order I am gonna say that he will have 33 steals this year. With Youkilis batting second he just has to get on base (not that much just when Big Papi tells him to) for David Ortiz to hit him in. Speaking of Ortiz he will win the M.V.P. award and he will have the game-winning home run in the World Series. He should hit about 59 HRS and have 167 RBI. With Manny Ramirez hitting fourth you will see him on the bases a lot. I'm saying he will hit with a .337 avg. and he will also win the World Series M.V.P. hitting 13 for 19 in the entire series! With J.D. Drew batting fifth he will be the one trying to get Manny set up into scoreing postion when he gets on. With Mike Lowell batting sixth your not really gonna be seeing much of him this season ( meaning that he won't hit that good, but he will be feilding very well this season). Jason Varitek will have a blow-out year this year hitting 24 hrs, 109 RBI, and have a .302 avg. Coco Crisp will get hurt in the mid season and will be out for the rest of the season ( will be replaced by Willy Mo Pena). Dustin Pedroia will have a so-so year hitting 5 hr and 79 RBI. Pitchers: Curt Schilling will rule the rotaion this year with 17 wins. Josh Beckett won't have that great of a year. He will have 13 wins and 7 losses. Dice-K...................................???????????????? Too hard to tell haven't seen him play much just one game don't really know what he is made of yet. This is why I think that the Red Sox will go farther this season. WS: Red Sox over Dodgers (6)

The Red Sox. Their pitching staff is still the best in the Majors, even if Schilling did bad on his FIRST start of the season. They still have Dice-K, Beckett, and Wakefield. Not to mention Lester will be replacing Taverez soon enough. Finally, how can you argue against David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez.

The Yankees because that lineup can outscore anybody and make up for faults on the pitching staff. AND EVERYBODY LEAVE THE ROYALS OUT OF YOUR ANSWER. Nothing in the question says relate your answer to the Boston/KC game yesterday. Thank You and......
GO ROYALS!!!! (note, not part of my answer just cheering for my team)

Yankees 100%...they have a better lineup and a stronger pitching staff. They have great infielders and outfielders and two words....MARIANO RIVERA!!!! He is the best closing pitcher and he always knows what pitches to pitch. He's one of their best pitchers and is amazingly...hott. I love Mo and he's one of my favorite players!!! In conclusion, Yankees are the stronger, better more experienced team when it comes to being in the playoffs and going to the World Series. GO YANKEES!!!! 27 WS in 07'!!
