I seen this movie as a child and all i know that the bomb was dropped on america and it was created in the 80's its not black and white...its in color. it was kind of cheesy but overall a good movie. i need the name and if anyojne can provide this information it will be greately appreciated..

There was a made-for-TV film called "The Day After," in which nukes landed on Lawrence, Kansas.
There was another one -- I think it took place in the U.S. -- called "Threads," which I think had a lot more to do with the aftermath of the nuclear event.

i'm not sure if this is the one you are talking about but i believe it was DAMNATION ALLEY. i remember seeing it at the theater. it was memorable to me because utah had these giant nuked out cockroaches and thats where i live.
