My opinion: I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!! It has a great storyline and it looks very real. The directors did a good job making the movie look real. Josh Harnett and Ben Affleck are sooo cute in the movie! Sure I may only be 14 but the movie is awesome. I love the ending and how Danny save Raef and how Raef and Evelyn are going to raise a son called Danny. I thoguht it was cute! BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!

Personally I can't stand Affleck.
I don't care for movies that take an interesting story and then they throw in a love story and ruin it.
I find the story of Pearl Harbor plenty interesting to keep me watching. Same goes for Titanic, I could've done w/o Leo AND the love story.

Sorry to disagree; glad you enjoyed it. It was fairly awful.
The battle scenes were mostly computerized junk compared to "Tora, Tora, Tora" where the director used real planes; Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett were good, especially Affleck; the so-called romantic subplot was badly written, pretty useless, and not well acted.
I never want to see it again.
It wasn't about the Pearl Harbor attack as the other film was; it was about two guys who were prequel computer game geeks who were the only ones ready to fight the overwhelming Japanese waves of planes attacking Pearl Harbor. Their flying worked.
Weird.

I liked the movie very much too. Being a Vet, though, I was looking at how well they did historically, and was quite impressed. OH. The reason they called the little boy "Danny" was because he was Danny's son. Remember that Evelyn was pregnant when Reaf got back from Europe? WAY GOOD MOVIE!!!

It may be inaccurate, and have a lot of hate surrounding it, but even as someone who is not a fan of Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett (whether in looks or talent) I would have to say, I really like that movie.
By the way, it's spelt Rafe.
That movie always manages to tug at my heartstrings!

I thought it was a complete disgrace to the people who died in Pearl Harbor. That event was the 9/11 of its time, and the movie turned that horrible act into a junky action movie where you were supposed to get off on the death and destruction. Everyone involved in its making should be deeply ashamed.

i love it, but thats because my home is in hawaii n i lived there for like 15 years.. i still get sad when i hear that japan did this to my pearl harbor..!

I like it, we own the DVD. It's historically accurate, which I appreciate.
