Ask your doctor at the next well baby appointment.
Many doctor's offices pierce there. Even if they don't, they may be able to recommend a good clean place in your area.

Children actually handle ear piercing pretty well. I used to work at Claire's and I pierced many a small child's ears. Some don't even cry.
One word of caution though--DO NOT get your baby's ears pierced at Claire's or a store like it that uses the white plastic gun. These employees have VERY little training and a mistake this will last the child a lifetime. It costs the same amount to get it done at a professional piercing shop plus you get a MUCH higher quality job. Doctors offices will also do it for you. I highly suggest having a real, licensed professional to do it.

It is only a piercing, can't you wait until your 16? You may hurt you parents feelings if you go behind their backs. No i doesn't hurt. There's more of a chance of your ears getting infected if you get it pierced with a gun, it's best to get it done with a needle (scary i know) but it really doesn't hurt, for a split second it hurts a tiny bit but then the ear goes numb. Gok Wan has stretched ear lobes, so unless your planning to stretch your ears, i'd go for the stud. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I use to pierce ears for a living I live in Canada and here we will not do it until they are at least 6 months old. There is the chance of her pulling them out getting infected getting caught on something. IF she does decided to get them done where ever she goes ask them to do both ears at the same time. If they only do one then try to do the other most likely wont happen the first one freaks them out to much. I would call around and ask what they use .... piercing gun or what. Its the sound of the gun that scares them.

My sister in law had her babys ears peirced at six months she was given a special spray to spray on the ears and has to turn them. I am going to wait until at least 2 years old because their ears are still floppy and that back would dig into them, also she plays with her ears too much and tugs on them. If she happens to have an ear ache well i'd hate to have the earings in there, I think they would be a problem.

If this is a little baby...the only suggestion I can offer your friend is..don't do it! Peronally I think it is cruel! Sorry...but I remember how painful it was after having my ears pierced at about 5 years old. trying to sleep with painful, throbbing ears. I think it's worrying enough having a new baby, and trying to work out why they are crying...i wouldn't want to add any factors into it. I'm sure she is pretty enough without earrrings for the time being. Maybe wait till she is a bit older.

My daughter had her ears pierced when she was 4 months old, you should buy an Emla Patch at the drug store, this numbs the area, I went to the salon I get my hair done at (i know it is clean) and had them pierce her ears. A lot of people will harp about it and say it is her choice blah, blah, blah but do what you want, millions of babies get their ears pierced everyday and are fine. She is 2 now and has never had a problem.

well honestly I think you should tell her to wait till she's older... she is still to little plus when babies sleep on there sides the sharp part of the earring pokes into the back of there ear and they cant do anything to fix it- if you don't believe me go put in some stud earings and lay on your ear then see what im talking about. also... do kids really have to grow up soooooo darn fast
