1. Ionization of neon (neon bulbs) they run at about 70 to 90 Volts and give off a nice orange glow.

2. Neon plasma (neon lights - like for advertising signs) they run at several 1000 volts

3. Neon LASER (usually mixed with Helium gas). This is another type of plasma tube, but with properly spaced mirrors at each end of the tube, at just the right angle so LASER light is produced.
