Seriously he doesn't have to be talented at all...he could seriously NOT sing and still not get voted off? How did he get soooo many fans?

I heard on a radio talk show that in India, they receive America Idol and can call in and vote. Sanjaya is the first person of Indian decent to be on AI and the whole country is gunning for him to win. And possibly because they allow votes from outside of the US (?? Which is strange because it's America Idol), that is why he is getting so many votes. I'm not sure I agree with that, but that is the conspiracy theory people are talking about. Personally, I think he got lucky one week and since they made such a big deal about it, that's why everyone is voting for him. That & to take down American Idol

They are trying to sink the show by promoting the worst of the bunch.
Now, I see that perez hilton (the gossip junkie) is also asking people to vote for Sanjaya.

I think the folks at AI are sick to death of the show. I think they're ready for it to tank so they can use the whole "Sanjaya staying on the show" as an excuse to cancel the show for the upcoming seasons. Why else would they allow this ridiculousness to continue?

Sanjaya only is still on American Idol because he has all the teenagers liking him! My ex- friend LOVES Sanjaya, and I don't know why! I mean he's kinda good, but he doesn't have one set personality!

I don't know because I think he sucks!! I want him to leave or go home he should have gone home a long time ago!! It's probably because all of these little girls think he's hot and want him to stay so they vote like 100 times!! But I don't even vote but I think they should limit the voting to like 10 votes per person!! I think he is ugly too!!

The good part in this is I think that Simon said if sanjaya won that he would leave the show ... one can only hope.

I bet it's a billion EXTREME girly girls voting 4 him. I actually am shocked... he almost looks like he's trying to get kicked off. There are probably a lot of people out there who hate him, and they notice that he wants to get off, so they vote 4 him and he stays till he can't take it anymore and he kicks his own self out.
