I wouldn't suggest it. Black Moors are goldfish and therefore coldwater fish. They would probably survive, but certainly not thrive. You mention your other fish and I have to ask how big is your tank? Each goldfish will need a minimum of 15-20 gallons once fully grown and the pleco at least that much and in a large tank as a common pleco can easily reach over a foot in an aquarium, 2 feet in nature. I would suggest you pick either tropicals or coldwater fishes for your tank, mixing them is just asking for constant trouble.

"4 goldfish which have no signifance with their live/die ratio b/c of price"

you don't deserve to have fish. they are still LIVING things, they still feel pain. they are not objects or decorations.

my feelings aside... you shouldn't have those fish in anything smaller than a 55gallon. plecos get up to 18" and black moors get around 10" and produce tons of ammonia.

if you want tropicals, or have anything under a 55gallon you should take back all of your current fish. then cycle your tank (google fishless cycling). while your tank is cycling try going t the pet store and writig down types of fish you like, then do some research online about the types you like.

goldfish and tropicals are NOT compatible. goldfish produce too much ammonia for tropicals, and there is not temp where both types of fish will thrive.

Goldfish, including Black Moors, do not combine well with tropical fish. First of all, 78 is much too warm for them. Secondly, goldfish are what we call "opportunistic" eaters and will probably take bites out of the tropicals.

Goldfish are cold water fish so they shouldn't be in water that warm, they can but they still shouldn't. I hope you realize that each of those black moors need a minimum of 10 gallons each as babies and 20+ as they reach adulthood and depending on what type of pleco it may need a 55 gallon tank. You should really stick to only one type of fish, either cold water or tropical, keeping both in the same tank isn't giving at least one of them the correct environment that it needs and can really stress them out which causes them to have lower immune systems which can lead to diseases.

78 is ideal. I've kept all my goldfish at 78 constantly for years. Its a myth that goldfish prefer cooler water. Mid to high 70's is perfect.

apparently, they can only go to 75 degrees, but maybe they can go a bit hotter... ask at the pet store to be sure...
