Trouble code P0420.

Tests/Procedures: 1. Monitor the activity of the rear O2 sensor, and if it is switching like the front one, the catalytic converter is bad.

Potential Causes: Catalytic converter

Tech Tips: The catalytic converter is covered under warranty for 8 years/80,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

p0420 is your catylitic converter..... check your exhaust system for leaks (if it is leaking it could cause a faulty cat code) also... most people dont know there is an emmisions warinty for 8 years or 80,000 miles, i don't know your milage but i would suggest taking it in for a "check up" at your nissan dealership good luck

Catalytic system low efficiency

Usually, this means one of the oxygen sensors or MAF sensors in your engine has failed and the computer thinks your exhaust is not as clean as it could be.
