Positive tests?

Question

Okay, my last period was on March 6th. My next is due the eighth of this month. I took three tests yesterday, and all showed up faintly positive. Can they really show that i'm pregnant this early? Just trying to eliminate any hormonal imbalances. Thanks for your comments

yeah some show up 5 days befor you miss faint or not your pragnant good luck

It's possible. I got a faint positive around 5 days before my period was due. Your normal hormones wouldn't cause a positive test, only if you're on medicatins that contain hgh, which are very few & if you were, you would know it. This isn't in any form of birthcontrol, btw.

First Response is the most senestive test on the market last time I checked. And you can actually get a positive result from a urine test as early as 10 days past conception. Faint positive is still positive. :)

When I took my test, it came up as a faint positive, so faint that I wasn't sure so I went out and got a digital one that said Pregnant/Not Pregnant....it said Pregnant. The chance of a false positive is less than 2% on 1 test so it's even less on three. Looks like you are most likely pregnant. Congrats!

Yes it can show up. I found out I was pregnant by using a test from the dollar store, and I went to the dr to confirm it and the blood count showed that I was only 1 week pregnant. It was 2 weeks before my period was even due.

Yes..it can show up this early.. (LAST YEAR) i had a period on April 15...so i was suppose to get another one on May 15... but i had a feeling i was pregnant so i took a test on May 8th and it came out faintly positive and it was RIGHT... My baby was born in Jan of this year :-)

Yes it can as long as you ovulated pretty early on in your cycle. It only takes about 8-10 days after ovulation to get a faint positive result especially if you are using a sensitive test. But shame on you for testing so early! If it was neg you wouldn't know if it was a true neg or not and even now you question your positive tests! You should wait til this weekend and retest and if it's still positive and it will be......call your OB and start your prenatal appt! Good luck!

if you got three positive test you are very will pregnant you would have conceived between the 17 and the 21st it takes around 7 to 10 days for baby to implant and you are around 4 weeks and your due date will be around 12/11/2007 here is a little on hcg levels What are normal hCG levels?

yea a did my test 2days before my due date now am 20weeks preg with a healthy boy but a test can come up positive if u are about 4days before ur period if ur really unsure take another test when ur period is meant 2 arrive then ul know for definite

Yes they can. mine did 6 days before the period was even supposed to start. look for the signs of pregnancy too - you feel like your period is about to start - cramps, breast tenderness, fatique - but worse than usual. I knew something was going on with me - that's why I took the test and it was positive.

I would make a appt with the doctor and ask for a blood test to be done, because I think that it is to early to show that you are pregnant unless the bleeding was implantaion bleeding, good luck on what you want.

The hormones of pregnancy cannot be detected in urine any earlier than 3 weeks gestation. (blood tests can detect them much earlier) If you're really worried about it, go see a doc. It might be that you are though. What prompted you to do three tests if your period is not even due until next week?
