Yes they are melting.

there are many theories as to why and how much will melt but the fact is they are melting.

What you got from reading those pages was correct. It's worth pointing out that the media have a habit of going overboard when it comes to reporting global warming issues.

It's really only parts that are melting - in some places the temperatures never reach anywhere near freezing point.

The edges of the ice caps are always breaking off and parts are always melting but what we've seen in recent years is an substantial increase increase. Not so long back a lump of ice broke off (Larsen B Ice Shelf) and it's a massive piece of ice - half a trillion tons of it covering a little over 3000 square kilometres.

The concern that a lot of people have is that if the world continues warming at the rate it is now (0.0156 degrees C per year) the ice caps will keep melting but only faster.

If i had the time I'd show you a series of graphs showing, not that antartica and greenland aren't melting, but it is NOT, i repeat, NOT, our fault. Mankind only effects 8% of global warming, and this is a NATURAL occurence of them melting.

Btw u answered my question on dating; im muslim; not christian.
