shine: very judgemental, aren't you?? I DID NOT SAY that I only care about the presents. I was asking a question, not stating my own beliefs. Next time, think first.

Oh, and you're all Daves to me.

Plenty......there would still be the annual office p155 up to look forward to, kissing random people under the mistletoe, cake, turkey, mince pies and all of the other associated food, extended holiday, good stuff on tele for a change......See, Christmas is not just about giving presents.....

I don't celebrate Christmas, I celebrate the birth of Christ. The giving of gifts is something I could very easily do without. No one could give a greater gift than what Jesus gave.

I celebrate Christmas because of the greatest Gift of all Jesus. It has nothing to
do with material things. It's also a chance to get together with our entire family
as they are scattered here and there.

i think it would be great if people didn't just think of presents at Christmas time. With most of my family we don't give gifts we just get together for a big supper and talk and enjoy each others company.

I can'tsay I celebrate it anyway and in our familly we(apart from the kids who get spoilt rotten) buy just one present for one person but spend a fair bit on it so it's something worthwhile:-)
