It was fast paced and my feet hurt...rolling silverware at the end of a long shift really bites! However, cash tips everyday was nice :)

I worked in many resturants, including one that no longer exist. I t went by the name of Geno's. Thier special sandwich was called the Hero Burger. It was shaped retangular. It was a fast food place that also sold the Kentucky fried chicken, french fries, soda, shakes, and other items as well. There was a rumor that there was a rat found in the chicken there. I highly doubt it because I was a chicken man. It was egg washed and breaded by hand, and some was marinated for 24 hours. Then it was cooked in a pressure cooker. It was then put into a hotbox with a time sheet to be sold or replaced within a certain time frame. I also worked on the sandwich table and made french fries. I worked days and before the store opened, I personanally hosed down the entire property outskirts. All the workers cleaned during their entire shift. I also worked as a pizza man, and I worked as a sub man in another place. I've also been a waiter in different hotels while being a member of the local union. Banquets is where the money is. GOOD LUCK!!

I started working as a server at Ruby Tuesdays and worked there for a year until I couldn't progress any further except becoming management. I worked alot of hours there but I really enjoyed the people I worked with and most customers. I have sense started working at the Bonefish Grill. Its a whole different world when you enter the world of polished dining. The staff is much more skilled and much cleaner. Also the clientele tends to tip better on a consistent basis. The work is much easier as well because you don't have to worry about taking care of 6 tables at a time as 3 is the most you'll likely ever have at one time.

I did at one time when I was younger. But it was my first job. I mean I think for a first time job it makes those young people learn to be responsible and then yet it also a little extra money for those that are retitred,Also it is a pretty good idea for many handicap persons to work. I mean it isnt the best of income but I have to admire those that want to work, and all thouse other lazy americans that do not want to work and stand on the street pan handling.

Kids face painter at Burger King, no frying or broiling for me. Perfect high school job as a freshman. Tread this industry carefully. In the fast food restaurant, expect at least 10 extra pounds within 6 months, and a truly ruined perspective on food altogether. You have been warned!

If you're considering getting a job in food service be prepared for crappy wages, few if any benefits, rude customers, demanding bosses and little job security.
The only benefit is the food you can occasionally pilfer. But that doesn't begin to make up for all the other drawbacks.
I've worked as a fast food "chef," a waiter and a supervisor. When I think back to all the time I wasted in those deadend jobs it makes me sick.

Yes I did work in a resturant. I was a dish washer. I did like it at first then I didn't like it at all. It was a messy job filled with cleaning dirty plates, glasses, pots, and other things along with cleaning the kitchen and taking out the garbage. I also had to clean up throw up in the men's bathroom one night so that was real nasty. I won't be a dish washer any time soon.

I worked for McDonalds for a short time. My job title was simply: crew member. I obviously didn't like it because I only worked there about 2-3 months....... and quit AS SOON AS I found another job!!

I have worked in the restaurant and hospitality business for most of my working career.
I started off in fast food in high school and it helped me to pay my college tuition.
After I graduated I worked as a personal trainer, but now I am employed as the food and beverage manager for the holiday inn.
I love it.
great company great co-workers great benefits
an absolute dream job.
plus i get to meet people from all over the world.
