I really don't think it has so much to do with RACE as it does with where a person lives and also their culture and/or personal style of how they dress. Here in southern California (where there is a huge mix of races), pretty much most people (of ANY race) will wear shorts and flipflops in Spring. It's not that big a deal here. Even in Winter, it's not that big a deal, depending on how the weather is.

I feel way more comfy in a bikini, wifebeater tank, shorts, and bare feet or flipflops. I wear flipflops even in Winter (all year round).
But I suppose I don't fit into your little stereotype since I'm mixed "white" and Cherokee (native american). Plus, I surf...and in "surf culture" this is totally normal.

Ha! i questioned the comparable myself! regardless of if that may not white people....it is persons! you need to %.. the american travellers out here in London soooo incredibly--they are wearing turn flops and shorts and baseball hats even despite if there's no coastline for miles, the streets are filthy and that's in certainty 18 tiers in summer season time. Why? i think it is in trend there or some subject. White (easily, tremendously lots all) Londoners no longer commonly gown like that.

ummm, i don't know. but it is not cool or breezy in louisiana. it's about 86 degrees right now so.... yay flipflops. i wore them in february and am wearing them already but i'm not a big fan of shorts. the sun is so bad for your skin so i try to avoid the sun like a vampire.
