take her to the hospital as her husband was recovering from major surgery and wasn't doing too good. Unfortunately we never got there in time and he had just passed away. How much petrol money do you think I should charge my neighbour? Please remember this was after 12am

O: HOW COULD YOU ASK SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!?!?! Her husband just died, and you are going to ask her for money because you drove her there?! Keep in mind that you didn't have to drive her to the hospital in the first place. It was probably out of the kindness of your heart that you drove her there, right? Well dig deep down, find that kindness again and realize that you should NOT ask her for money and if she offers, you should REFUSE to accept it!

Did you have to wait outside the hospital while she went in? Did you leave the engine running, cos that will have cost you a fair bit. See if you can agree a pence per mile fee and don't forget to charge your waiting time too!!!

possibly you will possibly desire to ask your self this questions particularly: What if it replaced into your husband/spouse who died and all straight away this clueless neighbor walks as much as and ask for money like that? i'm specific your neighbor could be truly harm if she knew which you cared greater related to the money than her plight. And by ability of how, isn't there something on your faith that mentions approximately loving thy neighbor? So what if it replaced into after 12am? So what if it replaced into some distance removed from the place you reside? evaluate your self a sturdy neighbor and not a taxi driving force. purely be there for her in her time of prefer. you need to discover it lots greater "effective" than money.....

I personally wouldn't charge the poor woman for the petrol, after all, she has just lost her husband. Try buying her some flowers and a condolence card, that is, if you have a heart and not a swinging brick!

Most taxi services charge fare and a half after midnight. Next time use her car then you only have to charge for your time!

Are you serious? If you are that cheap and cold hearted to ask this person for gas money after the poor husband passed away then you are going to be in hell someday.

Charging passengers for a lift will make your insurance invalid, so I'd keep quiet eh?
